TIRADENTES UNIVERSITY

In our exploration of the universe of learning, we journeyed back to a time before the birth of Christ and uncovered the profound significance of the term "academy". Derived from the Greek "Akadémia", this word originally denoted the olive grove near Athens where Plato founded his Academy. This site was devoted to teaching philosophy to educated adults, serving as a precursor to postgraduate education. Over time, the term broadened to encompass communities of scholars, philosophers, scientists, poets, and artists.

PLATO'S AKADEMIA

But how does the word “ACADEMIA” connect to Unit’s Sound Identity?

The seven musical notes, named after the first seven letters of the alphabet, were standardized by Boethius in the 6th century AD. This naming convention remains in use, defining the foundational elements of musical notation and theory.

In our composition, we crafted the melodic line for UNIT by aligning the musical notes with the letters of the word "academia". The initial bar of our melody utilizes notes that correspond to the first letters of "ACADEMIA", establishing the foundation of our Sound Identity.

UNIT BRAND MANIFESTO

The Unit Brand Manifesto It functions as a conceptual alignment tool aimed at promoting, increasing awareness, and engaging strategic audiences with the brand's new positioning, philosophy, attributes, and language. By leveraging the strategic elements and concepts embedded in this tool, we were able to create the Sound Identity, comprising the instrumental piece and its derivatives that form the brand's sound kit.
