Luiz Crema has been conductor of the Orquestra Filarmônica Jovem de Caieiras since July 1995, where he carries out composition, conducting, arranging, artistic and administrative direction. During his career with the orchestra, he developed notable projects, such as concerts in partnership with adult and children's choirs from Nextell, T-Gestiona and “A Tempo”, in addition to coordinating the Caieiras Winter Festival and implementing a calendar of concerts for the municipality’s Cultural Action Secretariat. Crema also held themed concerts for various celebrations, including Women's Day, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Spring Opening, Children's Day and Christmas Auto. In addition, he organized monthly presentations in partnership with Relojoaria Inca Jóias for several shopping malls in Vale do Paraíba and the Capital and held benefit concerts, highlighting the Benefit Concert in favor of Casa Transitória (FEB).
His career as a trombonist, from January 1991 to December 2002, included participation in important orchestras and bands such as the Orquestra Sinfônica Municipal de Santos, Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado do Paraná, Orquestra Sinfônica Collegium Musicum, Banda Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo, Orquestra Philharmonic Paulista, Symphonic Band of the Southeast Military Command and the Big Band “Zerró Project”. Additionally, he played with renowned artists such as Toquinho, Dalvan, Vanusa and Trio Los Angeles.
Luiz Crema performed in several musical formations, including the Arujá Municipal Wind Orchestra, the Brass Group of the ARS Nova Pró-Música Foundation, the Caieiras Municipal Choir and the Caieiras Youth Chamber Orchestra. He also directed and arranged musicals such as “A Noviça Rebelde”, “After Broadway”, “As Canções do Meu Rádio” and others, in addition to coordinating special concerts such as “Raul sem Conserto”, with orchestral arrangements of songs by Raul Seixas, and “O Pó da Estrada”, a tribute to the duo Sá and Guarabyra.
In the field of education, Luiz Crema was a teacher in the State Education Network, working in several schools and coordinating artistic projects. He developed workshops on the history and formation of bands in Brazil, the history of music through artistic periods and the history of musical instruments, held between 2003 and 2006.
His academic education includes courses in symphonic band conducting, contemporary composition, music for cinema and advertising, and orchestral and choral conducting, with renowned conductors such as Abel Rocha, Naomi Munakata and Erick Westberg. Luiz Crema is recognized for his profile based on confidence, discipline and search for results.
